Tesla all set to make it's enter into the energy storage business

In a recent announcement, Tesla, one of the most renowned electric-vehicle companies, has stated that it is getting into the energy business.  Elon Musk is getting into the Texas power market and has stated that the company is starting to take off. On its Q4 2020 earnings call, the company said its battery deployments increased 83 percent in 2020, credits to the popularity of the Megapack, which stores energy for utilities.

As there is an increased demand for renewable energy sources and the world set goals to transition to renewables, demand for these large-scale storage systems is on the rise. Especially the Grid-scale battery storage is expected to become a $15 billion market by 2027. Thereby, Tesla could be everywhere in the future of renewable power.

Musk and his team are continuing to highlight energy as a key part of their growth. It is reported that Tesla Energy could represent up to 30 percent of its total revenue by the 2030s, up from roughly 6 percent today. The company's primary focus is on the U.S. energy hub with natural gas, oil, solar, and wind resources. Tesla aims to is transforming the energy sector by surging growth of renewables.

 

Huawei to launch Harmony OS for its mobile phones by June

Huawei Technologies Ltd., in a recent announcement, has stated that it is launching Harmony operating system (OS) for smartphones on June 2 in the US. Huawei's most significant move primarily aimed at recovering from the damage done by the US sanctions to its mobile phone business. The mobile developer will be using its own OS will mean it will no longer be reliant on Android.

The US sanctions had banned Google from providing the required technical support to new Huawei phones and access to Google Mobile Services, but now the ban has been lifted. The latest Harmony OS will only go some way to mitigating the impact that barred Huawei from accessing critical US-origin technology, hindering its ability to design new chips and source components from outside vendors.

Once the world's biggest smartphone maker, Huawei is now placed in 6th position with a 4 percent market share in the first quarter. The company stated that it would take a more "open source" approach to development and try to attract more software experts and other industry leaders.  Huawei will be releasing the latest Harmony OS by the end of June.

Meme-Inspired Cryptocurrency Dogecoin Reaches Great Peak

Dogecoin has become the center of attraction for quite some time now. The currency which came to the limelight through memes is now seeing more remarkable improvement in its price. Remarkably, Dogecoin is overtaking Bitcoin in its popularity on social media and among crypto enthusiasts. The digital currency's price has surged to an all-time high of US$0.4, recently pumping up enthusiasm. But like other digital currencies, the value of Dogecoin is volatile.

The digital currency hit a record high value last week. Since then, it is trading in the fourth position. Unlike many cryptocurrencies, Dogecoin functions on blockchain technology, making it the most secure digital currency. It is stated that Dogecoin will create 100 billion supply and 5 billion new coins every year.

As of today, its price is at US$0.435 falling around 45 percent from its recent high. Dogecoin has become the center of attraction for cryptocurrency investors. To this day, it has cult status on most of the online business investment sites. Since the beginning of this year, Dogecoin's price has gone up by around 5000 percent. Also, Elon Musk has called it the 'People's crypto.'

 

 

Firefly Aerospace selected SpaceX to launch its first lunar lander mission for NASA


 In a recent announcement, Firefly Aerospace has stated that it has selected SpaceX to launch its first lunar lander mission for NASA. It also has said that it will be using the most renowned SpaceX Falcon 9 to launch its Blue Ghost lunar lander which is on a mission to land in Mare Crisium on the near side of the moon. Falcon 9 will be carrying 10 payloads for NASA's Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program.

Besides, Firefly is also developing its own launch vehicle, Alpha, and its first launch is expected in the coming weeks. But the rocket is not powerful enough to take Blue Ghost to the moon. Thereby it the company had to purchase a launch from another launch provider. The company is now working on the lander, including testing the lander on a one-acre simulated lunar landscape at its Briggs, Texas, test site.

The company's lander is developing a spacecraft and orbital tugs for an overall space transportation system and for loading crucial missiles. It is the first contract that validated an end-to-end space transportation paradigm to put forward at Firefly. Blue Ghost has already energized the spacecraft side of the business.

Juniper jumps into Secure Access Service Edge market with its Security Director Cloud portal

Juniper has announced that it is pursuing the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) market with the unveiling of its Security Director Cloud portal. The portal encompasses access to both network and security services wherever a customer needs them. Besides, it can also manage customers' ongoing SASE transformations. The new portal solution offers managed security both on-premises and in the cloud.

With its multi-directional synchronization between cloud-hosted and on-premises management, zero-touch provisioning and intuitive configuration wizards for secure connectivity are provided that will enhance content security and advanced threat prevention. Moderna to Deliver COVID-19 Vaccines to Several Countries through an International Program

Moderna Inc., in a recent announcement, has stated that it will be supplying around 34 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine through an international program that distributes free shots to developing countries. The company has stated that the doses will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2021 to the World Health Organization-backed by Covax initiative.

Coax is a program financed mostly by Western governments which provides free coronavirus vaccines to 92 low- and middle-income countries worldwide. Covax has stated that it can purchase another 466 million doses in 2022 by Moderna and Gavi, the organizations behind the vaccine aid program.

Many western countries such as the US, Britain, and Israel are coming closer to vaccinating large majorities of their populations; developing nations are still fighting g to get their rollouts off the ground. According to recent reports, emerging economies will have only vaccinated 30 percent of their populations by the end of the year. Covax has further added that it will be shipping approximately 145 million doses of vaccines by the end of May to countries like Brazil, Philippines, and others.
