The Emerging Trends In The Online Casino Industry

Online casinos have been popular for a long time. However, it would seem that this industry has welcomed a lot of new players during the last year and a half. One of the main reasons for this is definitely the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic. People were simply stuck at home and a lot of them decided to kill the time by playing fun casino games.

However, this arrival of new players has changed the industry for the better. In order to make everyone happy, online casinos decided to bring new and exciting things to the table. Casino owners introduced new payment methods and some of the best game developers, like NetEnt, designed exciting new games. Today we are going to talk about the emerging trends in the online casino industry. Here are a few you should pay attention to.

Live Dealer Games

A lot of online casino players are looking for that authentic feel they get when playing at a real-life casino. Truth be told, not a lot of online casino games can provide them with this authenticity, but live dealer games can. This is exactly why these games are so popular today. It’s safe to say that casino owners will invest a lot of money into making live dealer casino games in the future.

VR Might Be The Future Of Online Casinos

Virtual reality has taken the video gaming niche by storm and now it seems that the online casino industry is implementing the VR aspect into their casinos. This can bring a lot of good things, especially when it comes to the authenticity we mentioned in the previous paragraph. People will be able to experience all the wonders of a real casino from the comfort of their home.

Cryptocurrency As A Regular Payment Method

Cryptocurrency hasn’t become a regular payment method in most aspects of life, but it has been a viable financial option online for a long time. Online casinos are looking to utilize this and make paying in cryptos a regular thing. Players who own crypto tokens will be delighted with this because this will provide them with secure payment and withdrawal options. Also, customers with crypto tokens won’t have to wait in line to get the money they won playing casino games.

Games Based On Skill

As you know, most casino games are based on luck. This is especially true when it comes to slot games. Today, some of the casino game providers are investing a lot of resources and time into creating slot games that are based on skill. Even though there are no official information on how those games might look, there are some speculations that players will be able to eliminate other players on their way to the prize money. One thing is for sure, this will bring a new component to slot games.

Online casino games are a go-to option for many people who are looking to have fun online. If you are one of those people, you will be glad to know that this niche has a lot of good and exciting things planned for the future.

What is a Seedbox? And How to Use and Get the Right One?

Peer to Peer (P2P) BitTorrent is a very underrated file-sharing piece of technology. Unfortunately, it has gained a bad reputation because it is widespread among the pirate community. BitTorrent has been the preferred file-sharing method among those communities because it is fast, can't be stopped, reliable, and highly scalable.

To work, P2P torrenting needs to expose your IP address along with the content you are trying to get to the peer swarm. The go-to solution to remain private and anonymous in the swarm is to use the popular VPN. And in fact, VPNs do a pretty good job keeping your privacy hidden while torrenting. But VPNs do only this: hide you behind encryption and IP-mask— they don't care about your application and its speed.

There is yet another solution, built and designed around the idea of torrenting experience.

In the BitTorrent world, there are swarms, peers, seeders, and leechers.

  • Swarms are groups of people (peers) participating towards a single goal: obtaining or sharing the content.
  • Seeders have the complete content (100% of the files) and are active on a swarm. The more seeders there are on a specific torrent, the faster everyone (peers) will download. But without seeds in the swarm, there is no content.
  • Leechers: They usually have a bad connotation because they would only come to the swarm to take but not to give. They would come to download a file and leave as soon as they got it.

Such concepts are vital if you want to understand seedboxes.

What is a Seedbox?

A Seedbox is a dedicated box, VPS, or server with the purpose of seeding torrents (seed + box). Seedboxes came into the scene when sharing started to be an issue.

Closed torrenting communities, known as private trackers, demand a high sharing ratio and even reward the top sharing users. But no ordinary user can maintain a high sharing ratio from their home computer and Internet bandwidth. So, seeders, peers, and recovering leechers :) started to use powerful cloud-based seedboxes to give back to the torrenting community.

Although anybody could configure a seedbox from home, they would require it to be operating 24/7. This would turn out to be quite challenging for maintenance and operation. However, now you can find seedbox providers offering impressive degrees of speed, privacy levels, and additional services, such as streaming, torrent automation, and more.

Why would you need a seedbox?

Being a top sharing user might make you feel good. After all, you are giving back to the community. However, you are probably here for another reason.

What’s in it for you?

After all, seedboxes are not free, so why would you get one?

a. Convenience.

When downloading torrents locally, your computer and Internet connection speed would ultimately suffer. Seedbox servers leverage the cloud computing model, where your on-premise resources remain untouched, and a third-party server does the computation tasks. Seedboxes are convenient because you can use your computer (or mobile phone) only to log in to your remote seedbox, monitor or manage your torrents, and then log off. You can load torrents from a torrent WebGUI anywhere you are. And, when you want to download a file from a seedbox to your on-premise computer, you can stay away from BitTorrent and use other methods, like SFTP or FTPS.

b. Crazy Speeds.

Seedboxes are designed for downloading and uploading torrents, so they would generally have much larger bandwidth connections, CPU, and memory compared to home-based servers. In addition, seedbox servers are deployed in high-speed data centers with connections ranging from 1Gbps, 10Gbps, and even 40Gbps. Something not very common in residential Internet services. In addition, since a seedbox uses other means to communicate and transfer content to your home, like SFTP, RSync, HTTP (not Bittorrent), your ISP won’t be able to throttle the speeds. As opposed to seedboxes, VPNs would hurt your torrenting performance and speed because VPNs use your resource, bandwidth, CPU, memory, and traffic data.

c. Torrenting Privacy.

If you are torrenting directly from your computer, you are likely exposing your information to the torrent swarm. A best practice to hide your data from the swarm is to mask your IP. And you can do this with a VPN, proxy, VPS, or a seedbox. However, not all VPNs or Proxy servers allow torrenting on their servers, due to data regulations. A seedbox, on the other hand, virtually takes your computer and your Internet connection out of the torrenting equation. With a seedbox, the traffic from your computer to the ISP is still an encrypted remote connection, but not an encrypted BitTorrent. Finally, the IP in the swarm is the seedboxes and not yours.

d. Private Streaming Server.

Long-time torrenters prefer to have a kind of ownership of the content they are downloading. Having the content on-premises allows them to play the content over again, even if they are offline. However, a trend is emerging, and this is streaming. Although most people would still prefer to download content locally, they are likely to have it stored online somewhere. Anywhere they have the content, they can use a streaming application like Plex or Kodi so they can play their content anywhere and on any device. Many seedbox server providers are beginning to provide VPS seedboxes with streaming media servers installed so users can stream all content right from the seedbox instead of downloading it.

What to look for in a seedbox?

Looking for a seedbox? Look for the following qualities:

  1. Privacy. Look for seedboxes that provide a logging policy. If they do, (hopefully) read it carefully! In addition, look for seedboxes that provide diverse methods for payment, including Bitcoin and PayPal. Although it is almost a mandatory quality, look for seedboxes headquartered in countries with data-friendly laws.
  2. Shared vs. dedicated? Seedboxes can be provided from a shared server. Usually, a couple of users share resources from a single bare-metal or VPS server. Or seedboxes can also be provided as dedicated, where all resources go to a single connection.
  3. Managed vs. unmanaged. Some providers offer an unmanaged VPS, where you have room and flexibility to install everything from scratch. Others offer a much more friendly approach: the managed seedbox server, where you don’t install and maintain anything. Everything is taken care of for you.
  4. Variety in speed. Look for a seedbox provider that offers at least 1Gbps of speed. Seedboxes might also offer 10Gbps (and to 40Gbps).
  5. Storage. Storage is key. After all, you are downloading content, so you'll need broad online storage. Storage varies according to your demands. But generally, seedboxes offer storage from 1TBs to 5TBs.
  6. Installed applications. On the basic level, a seedbox should come with a torrent client, preferably the rutorrent client. Other key applications are Plex, OpenVPN, FileZilla, Handbrake, Radarr, Sonarr, etc.
  7. Permitted traffic. Some seedbox providers are limited on the amount of data that can go through their server’s interfaces. Look for seedboxes that give the green light here. Essentially unlimited is optimal, but anything from 2TB to 20TBs (per month) will suffice. Again, this depends on your demands.
  8. CPU and RAM. Seedboxes need robust computing and processing. Without it, they would have a hard time seeding and storing content 24/7. Look for seedboxes with optimally 1-4 CPU cores and at least 2GB RAM.
  9. Plex support. A key feature if you intend to build your streaming server. Some seedboxes come with Plex already installed and claim to start organizing and streaming your content.

Why Invest in Upgrading Floors, Walls, and Tiles?

Every property or living space should reflect one’s lifestyle, comfort, and thinking. Why Install Elegant Flooring Tiles or Sheets?

As an individual is judged by his shoes, at first sight, every living or commercial space is evaluated by its flooring material. Many people prefer installing PVC laminated and glossy sheets on their surfaces, appearing as solid wooden decks and platforms. However, installing PVC sheets requires extreme care and must be done according to the room’s area and dimensions.  Whether it is Terrazo, Slate, Granite, or any flooring material, it must be well placed and fitted. Every house or living space must have alluring flooring to make the area more comfortable and vibrant. Elegant flooring materials resonate with the surroundings, making your furniture more catchy and distinct.

How to Create a Feature Wall?

Feature walls are created in lavish lounges, rooms, and bathroom suites, where different color combinations are used to match the accessories and lighting in that area. Feature walls are a noticeable element of every area, which reflects a color theme. While designing feature walls, one can use tiles or wallpapers to make the elevation look more sharp and detailed. Photographic or textured tiles can be used to create a feature wall, adding noticeable flair to your living spaces. People prefer hanging frames, light shades, pieces of art, and wall clocks on feature walls, creating an attractive look.

Why Install Elegant Tiles in Washrooms?

Washrooms and restrooms are spaces where a person finds mental peace and reflects on his day’s progress. While selecting the best washroom tiles, one should consider the colors of their walls and floorings. One could choose a dark color in contrast to light-colored walls and ceramics. The concepts of designing and creativity are evolving with time, and people are more focused on remodeling their living spaces to have a better quality of life. According to a recent study, a person gathers his thoughts and emotions while spending time in the washroom. Moreover, the guests visiting your house try to judge your living standards by the setting of your washrooms and their tidiness.

Final Word!

Spending on renovating your house and living spaces is imperative if you aspire to elevate your living standards and maintain a decent lifestyle. While selecting flooring materials or tiles for elevations and washrooms, one must consider going through the best living ideas and concepts available on the internet and other illustrative platforms such as Pinterest, which has millions of designs and ideas.

QoreNext Secures $1.5 million in Seed Funding Round

Singapore-based QoreNext has secured $1.5 million in seed funding from Wavemaker Partners. The Data-as-a-Service provider will use the funding to advance production of its main modules and to bring its first set of data products to the market.

The company was founded by a data scientist Rahul Sahgal. His business idea was based on IP specifically carved out of Annik, the data and analytics company Sahgal founded and sold to French IT services giant CapGemini. Annik was part of a private equity-driven roll-up under digital customer engagement firm LiquidHub, which was acquired for US$500 million in 2018.

QoreNext has previously raised funding from leaders in the insights, payments, and data spaces.

"We have already had many constructive discussions with corporates that show a genuine interest in our data offerings", said Rahul Sahgal, founder and CEO of QoreNext. "In Wavemaker, we are excited to have found the perfect partner to help us get the company to the next level."

The Qore platform changes the way foundational data is produced and consumed, while the virtual collaborative aspect brings the gig-economy model into the corporate data management world. This precludes the need for armies of data stewards or editors.

Why online casinos are better than the real thing

When you ask most people to picture a casino in their minds, they imagine a glamorous resort casino like those on the Vegas Strip or in Monte Carlo. These casinos are amazing entertainment palaces, with everything you could imagine in an invigorating and intense atmosphere. The reality in most casinos, though, isn’t quite as exciting. Your local casino just off the freeway isn’t likely to have Britney Spears performing or offer a five-star buffet; there probably won’t be enough space for more than a few different kinds of slot machines and the quality of the dealers can be variable.

In general, an online casino is much better than the real thing. Some online casinos, such as www.skycitycasino.com, actually have brick-and-mortar properties, so you can enjoy the best of both worlds depending on which parts of the casino experience you’re looking for. Most of the time, however, an online casino is better than its land-based counterpart and here’s why:

Comfort

Part of the fun of going to a casino is getting all dressed up but as everyone knows, our fanciest clothes are never the most comfortable. With an online casino, there’s no need to get dressed up (or even to get dressed at all!). You can play from the comfort of home, wearing whatever you like. You can even play in bed in your pajamas, if a few slot machine spins is your preferred way of waking up in the morning.

The laws that many states and countries have passed banning smoking indoors have been an important step in improving air quality and protecting the health of their citizens. They have, however, had an unexpected consequence. Nowadays, instead of just smelling smoke, patrons in casinos, music venues and bars are now often confronted with the smell of stale alcohol and body odor. Online casinos don’t have this stinky problem.

Accessibility

Very few people live near a world-class casino. For the majority of us, a trip to a resort casino has to be a weekend trip or during a long vacation. Even going to a local casino can involve a long drive. Playing at an online casino means that you can play anywhere, at any time. There’s no need to go somewhere to play. If you’re only looking to play a few games in your downtime, it isn’t practical to go all the way to a casino. With an online casino, you can play a game or two whenever you feel like it, without having to invest any other time.

Many casinos also have fairly limited space to move around between the various tables, slot machines and other patrons. This can make it very hard for people with limited mobility to maneuver. Additionally, the bright flashing lights and loud noises can be overwhelming for those with sensory issues. Online casinos make the casino experience accessible to everyone.

No distractions

Casinos are busy places with lots of activity. From all of the different tables with their games and dealers to the sounds of the slot machines and the chatter of other gamblers, there is a lot going on. Some of these distractions are fun, while others can be a bit annoying. Research has shown that being continuously distracted can lead to bad decision making. This might be good for the casino but isn’t great for the gambler. When playing at an online casino, you can control how many distractions there are. For example, you can mute other notifications if you’re playing on your phone, and if you’re playing during your commute, you can pop on some noise cancelling headphones and enjoy your playing time in peace.

Entertainment choice

The main resort casinos book some of the biggest names in entertainment for their shows, and on the floor, most casinos have music playing constantly. While it’s often unobtrusive and enjoyable, you still have no control over what’s playing or the volume. Being able to pick the music you want to listen to while you play is another one of the perks of online casinos. You could even play in total silence if Zen gambling is more your style.

No tipping required

We all know that gambling is most likely going to cost us money in the long run but that doesn’t mean we want to spend more than we have to. Besides paying for valet parking, you are also expected to tip your dealers and those who serve your food and drinks. Playing online casino games means there’s no tipping, which frees up your entire budget for playing the games you want to play.
