CEI announces to share market data with Maine seafood industry

The USA-based Coastal Enterprises Inc. (CEI), in a recent announcement, has stated it has acquired the Maine seafood industry to help to expand its businesses and sales. CEI also plans to share competitive national seafood industry sales information and other crucial data with the company.  The sales information consists of various broadline sales data for key species harvested in Maine, with regional and metropolitan markets in the US.

CEI further added that it had purchased the data as part of its Maine Seafood Marketing Initiative, a pilot effort to establish a brand-new marketing association for its seafood products. This initiative will provide Maine companies a competitive advantage over out-of-state producers and distributors. It will also help many seafood companies to recover lost revenues caused due to pandemic and begin to pivot back to 'normalcy' within the domestic food and dining industries.

CEI also aims to provide new market opportunities, which will prove critical to sustaining jobs throughout Maine's entire seafood supply chain. This, in turn, will have a great potential to create additional revenues and job growth throughout the sector in the coming years. Besides, the competitive information provided by CEI will enhance companies in Maine to improve their domestic sales both in the retail and wholesale market.
