Teenager builds app to promote Indian Culture to Tourists
“India Story” – an app to chronicle the story of India
through its monuments – was built by a 17-year-old teenager, Avantika Khanna,
from Gurgaon, India. The app had been launched for both the Android and iOS
platforms and provides audio-guides in cities like Kolkata, Bangalore, Lucknow,
Chandigarh, Mumbai, and Delhi.
The Social Entrepreneur’s idea was born during a
family trip to UK a few years ago, where she realized the perfect maintenance
of monuments, and audio-guided tours. Both of these aspects of tourism were not
so good in India, along with the unavailability of guides in certain lesser
known monuments. This triggered the fire in her to promote India’s rich history
and culture to the world using technology, and she began working on “India
Story” way back in 2016. Today, avantika handles a total of 30 staff – writers,
photographers, history lovers, and programmers – who works as a team. Certified
tour guides can be contacted through the app along with organizers of cultural
walks. Both the app’s user interface and the business model,
was designed by Avantika herself. She has been able to raise seed funding from
the Indian Angel Network, only after overcoming many hurdles. She now looks
forward to expanding to more states and cities.
How AI Is Making Software Development Easier For software Companies And Coders?
Artificial intelligence
is the consequence of coding, and now coding is the after effect of artificial
intelligence.
Indeed, Artificial
intelligence has completed the cycle, since more software development services providers and more coders are utilizing it to
help the process of software development.
Presently, software
developers are able to utilize Artificial intelligence to compose and audit
code, identify bugs, test programming, and even streamline projects of
development.
Because of such guides,
not only can software development services providers convey new programming and
applications all the more productively, but an entirely different age of
engineers can figure out how to code all the more effectively.
These are a portion of
the conclusions to be drawn from a recently distributed Deloitte report.
Concentrated on
software development assisted by artificial intelligence, Deloitte creators
David Schatsky and Sourabh Bumb clarify how an assorted scope of every software
development company has propelled many AI-driven tools of software development
over the previous 18 months.
Plus, the market for
such assistive software development is growing vivaciously, with new companies
in the area raising a sound of $704 million over the year finishing off with
September 2019.
In that capacity, it
can be expected that development tools powered by artificial intelligence will
turn out to be progressively significant in fulfilling the developing need for
programming from every software development company.
Why use AI-based coding?
The advantages of
AI-based coding are various. In any case, the rule advantage for organizations
is proficiency.
A significant number of
the new AI-fueled instruments work just like spell-and language checkers,
empowering coders to decrease the number of keystrokes they have to type by
around half.
They can likewise spot
bugs while code is being composed, while they can likewise automate as much as
half of the tests expected to affirm the quality of programming.
As per the report, this
is especially significant during a time characterized by expanding dependence
on open-source code, which can here and there accompany bugs or
sub-improvements.
Obviously, as
extraordinary as the utilization of AI being developed by AI development
company might be for organizations, it brings the unavoidable threat that
automation will wind up taking occupations from coders.
In any case, this is
improbable as AI-fueled advancement brings the extra advantage of
'democratization.'
Clearly, these tools of
Artificial intelligence manifested by the AI development companyare helping and
enlarging people, not supplanting them.
These equipments are
assisting with democratizing coding and software development, enabling people
who are not really prepared in coding to fill talent holes and learn new
aptitudes and skills.
Plus, there is a code
review based on artificial intelligence, giving quality confirmation before you
even run the code.
An ongoing report from
IDC figures that the worldwide market for custom application improvement
services will increase from $47 billion out of 2018 to over $61 billion out of
2023.
This development will
be driven and encouraged by an equal growth in custom software development that
is powered by artificial intelligence.
In any case, such
advancement does not just bring the advantage of the automatic composition of
code and bug identification, since it can likewise be utilized to automatically
schedule and organize software development.
For instance,
France-based telecoms firm Orange as of late utilized a tool based on
artificial intelligence for managing a certain project for automating the
already manual procedure of updating the timelines of the project.
Artificial intelligence
supports people all through the development cycle of software. Just like most
of the automation, artificial intelligence here quickens the work.
Now and again it
eliminates with specific assignments, however, manpower is still required all
through.
Numerous organizations
are acquiring 'low-code progression' tools that empower individuals who are not
trained as software engineers to create applications.
A portion of these
utilizes Artificial intelligence. In any case, software engineers are still
required to make applications."
In addition to the fact
that people are expected to make and direct the applications, yet it can be
expected that artificial intelligence will be utilized to help another age of
coders acquire understanding and information in programming improvement.
Artificial intelligence
could be utilized to help beginner coders by giving direction while coding,
calling attention to potential errors and prescribing methods for handling
certain errands.
Benefits of AI
1. Improved Data Security
2. Bugs identification is simpler
3. Fabricate better software through strategies
4. Improvement in the precision of estimates
Improved Data Security
The security of
software is a vital property that you can't ignore during advancement. AI
empowers you to research the information utilizing AI to recognize
inconsistencies from typical practices.
Bugs identification is simpler:
By incorporating AI
tools, coding turns out to be better and upgraded. Engineers and analyzers
don't have to battle with looking at the executable documents stacked with bugs
and mistakes. It is simpler for them to discover bugs in a split second and
address them.
Fabricate better software through strategies:
AI arrangements are
enabled with the capacity to gain from past projects plus examining the
presentation of current ventures. AI-based custom
software development makes advancement simple as well as results in better
applications.
Improvement in the precision of estimates:
AI offers an answer for
estimating programming that includes examining historical information from
previous projects to discover connections and insights. It utilizes predictive
investigation plus business rules to offer exact estimates of cost, time and
endeavor.
Summing it up
One of the studies
conducted so far found that 37% of organizations associated with the software
development was utilizing coding based on artificial intelligence development.
Presently, with
organizations, for example, Tara, DeepCode, Kite, Functionalize, and Deep
TabNine, just as numerous others, giving computerized coding services, clearly
indicated that this rate is higher and becoming even higher.
It can be said that the
utilization of artificial intelligence in coding will at last outcome in more
noteworthy proficiency and better programming.
Also, Numerous
organizations that have executed these tools based on artificial intelligence
development have seen improved quality within the final products, as well as
the reduction in both expense and time.
Utility enhancements
have been seen since quality is higher – with faster and progressively precise
bug recognition and greater capacity to test the items all through the development
procedure, the product is bound to work better and be simpler
to utilize.

Hyundai Prophecy Concept Teased for Geneva Show
Hyundai is reported to unveil a new electric concept car at the 2020 Geneva Motor Show. However, the automaker isn’t revealing any information about it except for a name, Prophecy.
By definition, concepts are meant to hint at automaker’s future plans and Prophecy is an apt name for a concept car. It is likely that Prophecy will be a counterpoint to Hyundai’s last Geneva concept car. The Hyundai 45 concept was a retro styled electric car meant to reference the Hyundai Pony rear wheel drive hatchback of the 1970s. It was the first car designed in house by Hyundai.
Hyundai commented with regards to the styling of the Prophecy that it will have the same Sensuous Sportiness theme as its recent production models. It is unclear whether the Prophecy will share any underpinnings with Hyundai’splanned electric production models.
In 2017, Hyundai announced a dedicated EV platform which is also expected to be used by Kia and Genesis. Hyundai has also confirmed plans to co-develop a different platform with startup Canoo recently.
Asian cancer hospitals to introduce Digital biopsies by the end of 2020
National Academy of Sciences has reported the development of a digitized biopsy, one that could be conducted in cancer clinics around the country. The scientists from the University of Illinois at Urban-Champaign have designed this model which is an alternative diagnostic tool.
"The advantage is that no stains are required, and both the organization of cells and their chemistry can be measured. Measuring the chemistry of tumor cells and their microenvironment can lead to better cancer diagnoses and a better understanding of the disease," said lead investigator Rohit Bhargava, a professor of bioengineering and the director of the Cancer Center at Illinois. This hybrid microscope technology will easily allow upgrading the image with better resolution.
The technique will give out infrared capabilities to the standard optical Microscope. This technique is also combined with machine learning algorithms, which will outperform the tedious and often subjective method of how the cancer diagnosis is done. The researchers hope that their innovation will allow the improvement of cancer cells. It is an intriguing invention in terms of pathology diagnoses. It could help the physicians to speed up the wait for results and will also provide an ‘all-digital’ solution for cancer pathology.
10 Things You Didn’t Know About Online Gambling
Online gambling is a huge industry, with an
almost infinite number of services and game types to choose from. You’ll find
companies offering sports betting, casino games like poker and blackjack,
traditional popular betting pastimes like horse betting, and many others. There
are lots of things you might already know about online gambling, but there are
some fascinating things you might not. Let’s have a look at 10 things you
(probably) didn’t know about online gambling.
How Much is the Industry Worth?
It’s probably no surprise to you to learn
that online gambling is worth an enormous amount of money, but just how
enormous? Try almost $50 million US dollars a year. That’s not all though, it’s
also growing at a really fast rate. Some analysts report year on year growth of
more than 10% for online gambling, so it’s no small market.
The Random Number Generator is Everything
Apart from sports and horse betting, the
traditional casino games need their machines to be simulated online. To do
this, a special piece of computer code is used called
a random number generator. Everything about the games needs to be random –
from the cards drawn in poker or blackjack to where the virtual slot machine
stops spinning and using this random number generator this is achieved.
It keeps the online casino honest too,
since if everything is random, it’s not possible to cheat.
The Games Aren’t Rigged (Probably)
Gambling is mostly luck and just like in
real life, this applies to online casinos too. The way casinos win is by using
clever and complex mathematics to ensure they have an edge. There’s more maths
involved than we can explain here, but understanding that the odds are already
in the favour of the house, even when the game is legitimately using the random
number generator, there isn’t really a need for the gambling site or service to
cheat, so why would they? It just means they have the risk of getting found out
and going out of business for being too greedy.
The Biggest Game in the Industry
Think of a regular casino and picture
yourself walking through it. What game takes up most of the floor space and has
the most people engaged with it? That’s right, just like traditional casinos, the
biggest game in online casinos is the humble slot machine. By some accounts, it
accounts for over 70% of profits made in the online gambling industry. It’s not
particularly surprising given that it is accessible and easy to play. The actual
technology and odds of winning are surprisingly close to its real-life
counterpart too.
Choosing a Gambling Site
Research. It’s the only thing that you can
do to ensure you choose a legitimate gambling site. You can also check that
their merchant service is reliable which will guarantee that your payments to
credit your account are processed safely. A smart online gambling site will speak
to gaming experts to choose the best merchant service with advice from
industry experts like the Merchant Advice Service.
Traditional Cheating Methods Don’t Work
This one might seem obvious, but most
traditional ways of cheating at your local casino aren’t going to help your
chances at winning with an online casino, particularly when they rely on physical
pieces of a game. This is because of our friend, the random number generator.
Blackjack, for example, uses physical cards
in a casino, which are periodically shuffled. This allows for adept players to
know when a deck is in a promising or less promising position based on what
cards have already been played, and whether to bet high or low at any time. In
the electronic version, you best believe that the card stack is ‘shuffled’ using
the random number generator after every hand, so counting cards isn’t going to
get you anywhere.
Don’t Be Fooled by Signup Bonuses
Almost every online casino or gambling site
you visit will offer you some form of signing up bonus. Of course, these
bonuses, as with everything else in the gambling world, favour the house.
Without going into too many complicated maths equations, just know that there
will be rules in place to prevent you from taking advantage of this sign up
bonus.
No Game (Other Than Card Games) Pays Out More Than Any Other
There are no games that are easier or give
you a better chance of winning than any other. You can confidently play your
favourite game without fear that you’re missing out on an opportunity for an
easier win somewhere else.
That is, until you start playing games
where some skill is involved. Poker is a good example, where a lot of what
happens is luck, but a lot is also skill and deception. Blackjack too, actually
might in some cases have a slightly higher win rate when played correctly.
Don’t Trust Online Advice
This is probably true for almost
everything, and not only online gambling, but you should never trust the advice
of anything you see or read online, particularly those that are presented as if
they come from fellow players, like on a forum or message board. Casino
shills are everywhere, and so are online casino competitors trying to bring
down their competitors’ reputations. Rather make up your own mind or accept the
advice of people you know and trust.
Is Online Gambling Safe?
Yes, online gambling is definitely safe,
provided you’re using a legitimate website. There are very few scam sites
online, as they get found out and word of mouth eliminates them quite quickly, but it’s always worth doing your research before
fully trusting one.
These are a few of the things we found
interesting about online gambling you probably didn’t know about. Online gambling
in its many forms is a behemoth money-making machine, and millions of people
around the world enjoy playing one or more of the games on offer, or betting on
sports or similar. Provided you’re responsible about what you have to spend
(and potentially lose) it’s a fun hobby that can provide a lot of
entertainment.

Data Analytics for Premier Badminton League carried out by a Hyderabad based startup
The recently concluded Premier Badminton League had
many new features during their broadcast than the previous editions did. Thanks
to a Hyderabad based startup, Matchday AI, which specializes in sports data
analytics, the viewers had more data and visuals to enjoy during the matches.
Among the many features, the two key highlights during the broadcast were the distance covered by each player and the heat map, which indicates the action area of a player. Matchday co-founder, K Harsha Vardhan, had pointed out towards the difficulty in collecting data during a sporting event and how their technologies and solutions are automating data collection. The company had sent teams in all the three cities – Chennai, Lucknow and Hyderabad – that would be present in the production room and process live video feed and generate data that went live on air.
Currently, the company’s service cover only two sports – badminton and football and hopes to add more sports events in the near future. The company is also eyeing tie-ups with training academies. The inputs given by the firm’s technology will help the players improve their game and build better strategies. Another co-founder, Ganesh Yaparala, also pointed out towards the need of capturing videos along with providing analytics to game zones and training academies. The company is currently in talks with a broadcaster in China.
