Juniper jumps into Secure Access Service Edge market with its Security Director Cloud portal

Juniper has announced that it is pursuing the Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) market with the unveiling of its Security Director Cloud portal. The portal encompasses access to both network and security services wherever a customer needs them. Besides, it can also manage customers' ongoing SASE transformations. The new portal solution offers managed security both on-premises and in the cloud.

With its multi-directional synchronization between cloud-hosted and on-premises management, zero-touch provisioning and intuitive configuration wizards for secure connectivity are provided that will enhance content security and advanced threat prevention. It also can enable unified policies across physical, virtual, and cloud-based security, including user-based and application-based access, as they move to new locations.

In addition to security policy flexibility, Juniper added that it would provide cyberattack protection proven by third-party testing programs to be more than 99 percent effective against network and application exploits, commodity malware, IoT botnets, and other attack techniques targeted at the edge and data center. Juniper aims to create a comprehensive attack timeline and helps mitigate action that has to be taken to cover security weaknesses and breaches.

Moderna to Deliver COVID-19 Vaccines to Several Countries through an International Program

Moderna Inc., in a recent announcement, has stated that it will be supplying around 34 million doses of its COVID-19 vaccine through an international program that distributes free shots to developing countries. The company has stated that the doses will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2021 to the World Health Organization-backed by Covax initiative.

Online Slots Dictionary: Beginner’s toolbox

Do you want to play slots but have never done it before and wonder how does one go about it? We can help! One of the first things you should do is familiarise yourself with the new online slots lingo. There are a lot of terms and phrases used to describe slots. It is useful to know them so you can choose only the right games and know what you’re looking for. Without any further ado, here is your online slots dictionary.

3 Reel slot – this is a classic slot game that has 3 vertical columns that are called reels. This type of game normally doesn’t have any bonus features and functions on 1-10 paylines.

5 reel slot – this is a modern type of slot with 5 reels. Usually, 5 reel games have between 3 and 25 paylines (possibly more) and might include bonus features too.

Bonus feature – a specific game mechanic that is unique or not common with other slots. This could be a re-spin, where you will have a chance to hit an additional spin without any additional cost. Another common bonus feature is cascading reels, where winning symbols explode or disappear, allowing for new symbols to fill in the vacant spaces, possibly forming yet another winning combination without charging you any money!

Bonus round – this is a common perk with 5 reel slots. A bonus round could be a set amount of free spins (spins that do not cost but are valued at your bet level), or a spin of the prize wheel, or any other special game round that is activated as a reward.

RTP stands for return-to-player. This is a percentage of all the money wagered on the game that is paid out to players as winnings. For example, if a slot game has an RTP of 96%, that means that 96% of its lifetime bets will be paid out as wins, while the casino has a 4% edge.

Casino edge – this is the definite portion of bets that is taken in by the casino as profits.

A wild – this is a symbol in slot games that substitutes for any other symbol (except the scatter). Wilds link up wins by filling in the missing pieces in your winning payline.

A scatter – a symbol in slot games that activates the bonus round. Normally scatters also have a paying value as well as the ability to unlock the bonus round. Land 3 or more scatters to enter the bonus!

A multiplier – a mechanic in slot games that multiplies your wins. Multipliers could be attached to specific symbols such as the wild, or could come in the base/bonus game as a multiplier for all wins.

Megaways – this is a type of slot game that has 6 reels and varying numbers of symbols on them, from 2 to 7. Due to these variations, the game has a varying number of paylines. The biggest win you can hit would be at 117649 paylines and is likely to be a monstrous win!

All ways – this type of slot pays winning combinations both left to right and vice versa. Normal slots pay only left to right.

These are the most important things to know before playing slots – the rest will become clear while playing and checking the games’ paytables! We wish you many big wins and remember to gamble responsibly.

CEI announces to share market data with Maine seafood industry

The USA-based Coastal Enterprises Inc. (CEI), in a recent announcement, has stated it has acquired the Maine seafood industry to help to expand its businesses and sales. CEI also plans to share competitive national seafood industry sales information and other crucial data with the company.  The sales information consists of various broadline sales data for key species harvested in Maine, with regional and metropolitan markets in the US.

CEI further added that it had purchased the data as part of its Maine Seafood Marketing Initiative, a pilot effort to establish a brand-new marketing association for its seafood products. This initiative will provide Maine companies a competitive advantage over out-of-state producers and distributors. It will also help many seafood companies to recover lost revenues caused due to pandemic and begin to pivot back to 'normalcy' within the domestic food and dining industries.

CEI also aims to provide new market opportunities, which will prove critical to sustaining jobs throughout Maine's entire seafood supply chain. This, in turn, will have a great potential to create additional revenues and job growth throughout the sector in the coming years. Besides, the competitive information provided by CEI will enhance companies in Maine to improve their domestic sales both in the retail and wholesale market.
