Allo Technology Selects Juniper Networks to Upgrade Its Existing Network Infrastructure

India's first 7-Eleven store has been launched as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL). The retail outlet of the global brand has been launched in the Marol neighborhood of the Anderi East suburb in Mumbai.

The first 7-Eleven store in India offers the residents signature food and drinks, as well as products and delicacies especially created to appeal to the local market. The store in Mumbai has two stories.

7-Eleven initially intended to launch in the country in association with the retail giant Future Group. But the launch finally happened in partnership with Reliance.

"It's an ideal time for the largest convenience retailer in the world to make our entry into India," said 7‑Eleven, Inc. President and Chief Executive Officer Joe DePinto. "Our strategic relationship with Reliance Retail will bring 7‑Eleven's brand of convenient products and services to millions of Indian consumers starting in the city of Mumbai."

Founded in 1927, 7-Eleven is one of the biggest retail players in the world. Its stores operate in many countries including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Japan, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, China, the Philippines, Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. India is the 18th country where it has begun its operations. The company intends to expand its presence rapidly in the country in the coming times.
