Microsoft aims at becoming carbon neutral and controlling its Scope 3 emissions by 2030

 https://thesiliconreview.com/2022/03/microsoft-carbon-neutral-scope-3-emissions

As of now, the company's main motto is to make its emission percentage zero and help its partners bring down their emissions to 50 percent
Back in 2021, popular tech company Microsoft has managed to cut its emission by 17 percent. Recent sustainability reports show that the emission percentage was dwarfed because of the Scope 3 emission from the company's supply chain. As a response to the highlighted detail in the report, executives from Microsoft have stated that the company makes sure to eliminate Scope 1 and 2 emissions as it is under the direct control of the company, but it is difficult to eliminate Scope 3 as it generated by the consumers and partners.
As of now, the company's main motto is to make its emission percentage zero and help its partners bring down their emissions to 50 percent. In 2021, Microsoft had paid for removing 1.4mn metric tons of carbon from the air, and it is now planning to remove more than 1.5mn metric tons this year. Microsoft in 2021 has also certified two of its data centers as zero waste data centers. The company's strategy is to become carbon negative by 2030. This is expected to be achieved by bringing Scope 1 and 2 to zero and by adopting new methods, solutions, and purchase of zero-carbon energy.

Microsoft unveils All-New Secure Mode in latest version of Edge

Microsoft in a recent announcement has stated that it has launched a ‘Super Duper Secure Mode’ in its recent version of Edge browser, which will offer users greater protection against common vulnerabilities and security breaches. The latest Super Duper Secure Mode (SDSM) will help users alleviate browser attacks by inactivating the Just-In-Time component in V8.

V8 is a new technology that has been linked with a large number of security vulnerabilities in recent years. It is a robust and open-source JavaScript engine, designed and developed by the Chromium Project for Google Chrome and Chromium web browser. This technology will allow the engines to convert vital JavaScript into machine code, resulting in huge gains in speed and usability but losses for security.

In order to defend and overcome the plethora of bugs bundled V8, Super Duper Secure Mode will disable the engine, thereby removing "roughly half" of the issues present. Moreover, it also enables users to toggle between Balanced and Strict modes, giving them greater control over the encrypted security codes and allowing them to mitigate through different web sources.
